You make me happy, whether you know it or not, We should be happy, that's what I said from the start. - - - - - - - - - - Adelle's face tipped up towards the sun. It was a beautiful day at um... the school. She had her legs stretched out in front of her and her arms propping her up. Her blond hair spilled over her shoulders. Her hat sat on her lap. She wanted to feel the sun on her closed eyelids. She smiled at the bliss she was feeling.
Her head tipped back down and she blinked to get her eyes adjusted to the new light. She yawned and layed back in the grass. Surprisingly, there wasn't a lot of people out today. but she was okay with that, more sun for her. She grabbed her clutch and took a piece of gum out of it. She popped it in her mouth and felt the minty freshness fill it. She loved days like this. Where the sun is shining but there is still a light breeze. Perfect. She could fall asleep here. She pulled her arms up and her hands behind her head.
In this moment, she forgot about the anger she felt towards her mother for sending here to a school that she doesn't even know all the name of. And the teachers, OH MY GOD they are crazy. She doesn't even think her math teacher even knows math. The school is crazy. And it was even worse because she hasn't really met any people. Of course she's talked to people in class, but out of class, she doesn't know anyone. And she hasn't had the chance to go up to someone because they all seem preoccupied with themselves. And that drives her nuts. She just needs to find someone not completely into themselves. Back at home she had a lot of friends, but here, everyone was insane! She hated it here, except for the beautiful weather.

They've got all the right moves and all the wrong facesSomeday, we're going down everybody knows, everybody knows where we're going- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Damian decided to wander around the island once more. It would take a while to get used to. Back in Ohio it wasn't so sunny all the time and she he was used to putting on heavy coats and layers in order to keep warm. Instead while he was here the norm seemed to be jeans and a t-shirt. If he had known he was being shipped to an island he wouldn't have packed most of his winter clothes. That could have opened up a lot of free space in his suitcases too. Either way today he was just wearing a plain red t-shirt, dark blue jeans, and some black shoes. At least he didn't stick out too much. Somehow he would have to find a good pair of shorts and some swim trunks so he could enjoy swimming, if that was even possible. Maybe there could be a beach party. Now that could be fun. Turning his attention back to his walking around he noticed there was a girl laying down in the grass, just enjoying the sunny day. Shrugging to himself he figured it wouldn't hurt to strike up conversation with her. "Hey there," he started, "You enjoying yourself?" The question really couldn’t be answered truthfully by himself. The island was nice but not so much enjoyable. He was trapped there all because of his parents. Now that wasn’t something most people wanted to think about. There was a life back home just waiting for him to return to. That’s what he dreaded, the fact that he was missing out on the normal things that had occurred in his life before he came to this school island. If only his parents had never found him, then he wouldn’t be stuck in this situation. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -STATUS: Done TAGGED: Adelle WORD COUNT: 295 LYRICS: All The Right Moves - OneRepublic NOTES: Hope you don't mind me joining.

You make me happy, whether you know it or not, We should be happy, that's what I said from the start. - - - - - - - - - - Adelle sighed in content. Back home in Wisconsin, you could never get weather like this. Of course it was nice in Appleton, but never like this. The sky was ocean blue with the sun shinning at the perfect temperature. She just really wished she brought sunglasses. But aside from all the crazy teachers, the lunatic students, and the oddity of the lack of knowing the NAME of the school, she liked it here. But she missed all her friends and her dog back home. Well pretty much, she just liked the weather. Could she at least find one decent person to hang out with here? Sitting around under the sun can be fun for a short amount of time, but she defiantly needed people around her so she wouldn't go completely insane... alone. But, at least for now she could focus on her studies. HA. The teachers are a joke, who cares if she does her homework or not? Most of her classes are debates and not about learning at all. She doesn't even try in her classes and it seems she still gets As. What an odd curriculum. But to think of it, the whole school is just odd.
She was just in her own peaceful world, when a voice from above her pulled her out of her trance. "Yes, in fact I am. I'm enjoying the sun before I go home. Now, not saying you are fat, but you are kinda blocking the sun. So sit down or get out of the way." She smiled. She wasn't being mean, just kinda joking around, it's what she did to new people. Being herself from the beginning decreased disappointment rates in new friends. She closed one eye from the light of the sun to get a better look at the boy standing in front of her, Unsuccessful of course. She could tell that he wasn't fat though she didn't hurt any feelings, yet.

They've got all the right moves and all the wrong facesSomeday, we're going down everybody knows, everybody knows where we're going- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Damian smirked a bit with the comment the girl made about him not being fat. He decided to sit down and then asked, "And how exactly do you know you are getting out of here?" From what he had figured Damian would be stuck on this island for quite some time. There didn't seem to be a chance of him going home anytime soon. Better yet he probably wouldn't be heading home for ever. That is if he could help it. Dealing with his parents was far too much. Maybe if when he flew off the island he could transfer planes and choose a different flight. Going to a whole new place would be fun. It wasn’t very hard for him to make new friends and he was smart enough to not have to deal with high school. Now he was getting ahead of himself though. Shaking his head a bit he turned his attention back to the blonde girl. “The name’s Damian, who might you be other than the girl just enjoying the sun?” he asked, “And where are you from to enjoy the sun so much?” Even with being from the cold of Ohio he wasn’t the biggest fan of the sun but did enjoy when he wasn’t really layered up with different clothes just to keep warm. For him the sun usually hurt his eyes and blinded him a little too much. Maybe somewhere on this island he could find a decent pair of shades to wear around. There was never really a need for sunglasses back home unless one wanted to wear sunglasses around just to look cool or something. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -STATUS: Done TAGGED: Adelle WORD COUNT: Too lazy... You make me happy, whether you know it or not, We should be happy, that's what I said from the start. - - - - - - - - - - She shrugged when he asked her how she was planning on getting home. "Well, I have to graduate at one point, then they can't force me to stay and learn. I'd have to get home so I can kill my parents for sending me here." She frowned. "I tried to talk to one girl and she screamed 'rape.' What a lovely campus we live on." She smirked. She liked that she met someone that doesn't seem completely crazy. It's like they sent her to an insane asylum instead of high school. Well not like they're too much different anyways... But in her old high school, most of the people hid their loconess. Not here. Well on the one hand, it was nice to see that no one wore masks, but still, COME ON PEOPLE.
She looked over to the boy that just introduced himself as Damian. She smiled. "My name is Adelle. And I'm from Wisconsin. The dairy state. How about you? Though you're out here, soaking up the sun with me, you seem to not like it very much. Transylvania?" Adelle bit her lower lip in a cute innocent smile. A slight breeze washed over her. What perfect weather.
Yes, Adelle liked the warm weather, but her eyes were going to burn out of her sockets, she was going to go down to the strip mall to buy some shades before she was permanently blind. And possibly to look at skateboards to get around here. She looked back over at Damian hoping she didn't look like she was zoning out.

They've got all the right moves and all the wrong facesSomeday, we're going down everybody knows, everybody knows where we're going- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -"I'm sure they would find a way to force you to stay here anyways." sighed Damian, "Our parents sent us here so I am sure that they can help keep us here long after we graduate. Maybe they would put us in charge or something though and then we could plan an escape. If that even could happen anyways." To be honest Damian had no idea how much power his parents had over keeping him at this place. Sure he could find a way to escape, but the whole island in the middle of no where made it hard to figure out what exactly he could go. Laughing a bit he commented, "I am with you on killing the parents. They need to know what hell they are putting us through by sticking us on this island." Of course he wasn't really going to kill his parents. But they sure weren't going to be getting a whole lot from him. Smiling Damian said, "It's nice to meet you Adelle. I'm from Ohio, so close enough to Wisconsin." He shrugged a bit. They sure seemed to be on the opposite spectrum when it came to enjoying the sunny weather. Even with them both being from fairly cold areas and all. Another reason why he probably didn't enjoy the sun as much could be attributed to the reasons on the island. If it were a vacation then it really could be enjoyable. "I'm just not enjoying the sun very much because I really didn't expect it. I was preparing for a cold tundra type place so that my parents could keep me 'safe' or some sort of bullshit similar to that." he said, "But I guess you could enjoy the sun for the both of us."- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -STATUS: Done TAGGED: Adelle WORD COUNT: 294 LYRICS: All The Right Moves - OneRepublic NOTES: No worries.

You make me happy, whether you know it or not, We should be happy, that's what I said from the start. - - - - - - - - - - She shrugged. "I'm good at sneaking out. I can help you if you want. I'm like a ninja." She smiled mischievously. "And putting ME in charge of anything, not a good idea. So we'll probably just be thrown in cages and sent off to people zoos." The thought of being forced to breed with other people and being put in a cage just made her shiver under the warm rays of the sun. "Okay then. We'll need rope, duct tape, a vase of flowers, and some Hello Kitty band-aids!" She giggled at her list of objects for killing the parents. Adelle liked saying stupid things. She found it actually quite entertaining.
"Ew. Ohio? There is NOTHING there. I would know, I drive through it like twice a year." She pretended to gag herself. She then smiled softly so he wouldn't get too mad at her, she didn't mean to be mean, but Ohio? Really? "Well all the better! Instead of regular skiing, we can go WATER skiing! I dislike the cold... Too dry, too cold. And I could enjoy this sun for like a hundred people!" She smiled again. Adelle loved to smile, as most people could figure out. "But if you're bored, we could do something else, just don't leave me alone. I'm sick of being alone... Everyone here is pretty much psychopathic..." Which was completely true. How she lasted this long was a mystery to her. She gave him a sweet smile that was pretty hard to refuse. Her crystal blue eyes were intense but yet soft. She got her eyes from her dad. Thank God. Her mom had boring brown eyes. But she got her mom's cute blond hair which was good.
