- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - LEAVEMYDOOROPENJUSTACRACK ((T A K E M E A W A Y F R O M H E R E))!!! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Eddie didn't really know what he was doing here, until he remembered he was bored and had nothing else to do. He hadn't really made any friends yet so it wasn't like he could just call someone up and see if they wanted to get together. And it wasn't like he was in the mood for making friends anyways, after the whole incident back at home. He wished desperately that he could go back, beg for his parents forgiveness, see his sister and Olive, but most of all, Jane. She was all that was on his mind nowadays, and it kept him from focusing on what he really needed to pay attention to. He still couldn't believe how his parents reacted over the whole thing, it wasn't that bad, and he didn't know why they weren't very fond of Jane either; she was great. He wondered if she still thought about him, how she was coming along with the baby, how far along she was. He wondered what his twin sister was up to and if his rat terrier puppy, Olive was missing him as terribly as he was missing her.
Now he sat on a bench at the mall, sipping at a large cup of Dr. Pepper, and watching all the teenagers walking by in all sorts of directions, laughing and talking as they passed by, hardly acknowledging him. He sat all alone, just him and his thoughts. He blinked a few times, realizing he had been in a daze, and for quite some time it seemed. When he finished the soda, all that was left being partially melted ice cubes, he stood up and sauntered over to a nearby trash can and threw it away. After Ed turned around and saw all the people, there was a part of him that just wanted to go back to being that fun-loving, confident, happy self that he had once been, although looking at him now, you might not think that.
A couple minutes later, he arrived Zumiez, his legs dragging him along into the store towards the back to look at the skateboards they had set up. He mostly just glanced around the place, a faint look of disgust on his face. It wasn't that he didn't like the store or any of its products, but because the music was so loud and blasting in his ears that he could hardly stand it. It was hard rock, pounding persistently in his ears, giving him a major headache, yet he stayed put anyways, continuing to look through the clothing racks and at the skateboards. "Not like I could buy anything in here anyways," he mumbled quietly to himself, glancing at prices.

YOU CAN FEEL THE POUNDING WRAPPED AROUND YOUR CHESTADELLEWILLIAMS NOTHING'S TOO EXCESSIVE WHEN YOU'VE GOT NOTHING LEFT Adelle defiantly needed some sunglasses. The sun always blazing in her eyes all the time on this island, her beautiful blues were going to get fried out of her head. And eye patches wouldn't do much for her look though. At least she could get a seeing-eye-dog. That would be cool. But it would kinda suck to never know what you are wearing and how your hair looks and if guys were hot enough. Yeah scratch that. Being blind would totally suck.
Adelle had her hair up in a high pony tail with the bangs pulled back with a clip and just two small sections of the bangs framing her face. She wore a t-shirt, shorts, and converses(click!). A basic shopping outfit. She just loved the warm weather here. It made her want to smile all the time and just lay on the beach all day. But that whole school thing was just kinda in the way.
She walked into Sunglass Hut. Automatically, her eyes were drawn to a pair of Marc Jacobs sunglasses. She tried them on. They protected her from going blind and were attractive. She bought them and had them on in the matter of seconds. Satisfied with her purchase, she went walking around the mall in her new shades.
She walked into a skateboard store. She was into skateboarding, but she never really tried it out. She was looking up at the skateboards when she heard a boy mumble something. "I know the feeling." She said with a sigh. How she longed to have a board and go top speed down a ramp, but she just spent all her cash on the sunglasses. She guessed the shades were a better choice though since they are good for your health and skateboards, involve falling and ows and pain. So medically speaking, smart choice.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - LEAVEMYDOOROPENJUSTACRACK ((T A K E M E A W A Y F R O M H E R E))!!! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Edward didn't think anybody could have heard him when he spoke, but he must've talked louder than he thought he did. He squeezed his eyes shut and bit his lower lip before he turned his head to see a young blond girl with a her hair tied up in a ponytail, and wearing shorts and a t-shirt, and converse sneakers. He still wasn't quite used to the hotter weather and having to wear shorts. His blood must just be cooler or something because he was always in jeans and a sweatshirt or something of the sort. Mostly because he didn't own any shorts. When he saw her, his clumsiness decided to show itself, and somehow, he knocked a whole stand of skateboards down, causing quite the commotion, almost noisy enough to block out the blaring rock 'n' roll music.
His face turned a pale red, and his face completely dropped. It was a weird feeling because he usually doesn't get nervous, but that's what he was feeling once he felt the eyes of everyone in the store, including the blond who had spoke up next to him, burning into his back. After taking a deep breath and letting all the air out, he popped his head up, spun around on his heel, ignoring the staring people to connect with an employee, which wasn't that hard since everyone was staring at him anyways. "Um, I think this a defected stand or something? As soon as I touch this wheel on the top skateboard here, it just ka-blam! And fell over," he stated loudly so one of the employees standing around would hear him and come fix up the mess fo skateboards now scattered all over the floor, the stand that had held him up now flat and broken looking.
Ed pivoted around to turn toward the girl again. "Uh, I was kind of talking to myself, but, um, whatever I guess," he said, shrugging, trying not to sound to mean, but it didn't work all too well and it still came out sounding partially mean. He closed his eyes for moment, gritting his teeth, causing his jaw to tense up. "Sorry, I'm having a... a slow day," he explained, apologizing. More like everyday, but whatever, he thought to himself. But she didn't need to know that.

YOU CAN FEEL THE POUNDING WRAPPED AROUND YOUR CHESTADELLEWILLIAMS NOTHING'S TOO EXCESSIVE WHEN YOU'VE GOT NOTHING LEFT When he looked over at her, she felt like she wasn't meant to say anything. She blushed bright red like she was sun burnt. But she thought she scared him, since you know, he knocked down a whole rack of skateboards. It was funny, she couldn't deny it. She slapped her hand over her mouth, muffling her giggle. The load banging sounds were loud enough to cloud the annoyingly loud music for a moment. She felt bad that she laughed, but it was funny. She bit her lower lip in a cute smile.
Feeling like she should say something, she stood next to him looking at the employee. "Yeah, I mean really, if you are going to build a rack that unstable you should at least put a DO NOT TOUCH sign on it. We don't want anyone getting hurt." She said with a shrug. She bent over, picked up a board and handed it to the worker. "Now whoever created this death trap should probably rebuild it, in a not so lethal way." She smirked.
The boy turned to her and saying he was talking to himself. She rose an eyebrow. "Well sorry if I was actually trying to meet someone on this God forsaken island." She brushed away her bangs from her crystal blue eyes. He said he was having a slow day. "That doesn't mean you have to just push me aside. I'm trying to be nice here. I was even considering helping you clean this up, because I'm a nice person." She picked up another board and shoved it into his chest and continued looking around at the standing boards.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - LEAVEMYDOOROPENJUSTACRACK ((T A K E M E A W A Y F R O M H E R E))!!! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Eddie almost smiled when she blushed, her face going red. He heard her muffled giggle, jerking his head towards her. He narrowed his eyes for a split second, but then grinned. He had a sense of humor, and he had to admit, that was pretty funny that he had knocked the entire stand down just by touching the top board on its wheel.
"She's got a good point," he shrugged his shoulders, speaking to the employee as he walked up to the mess. The worker almost glared at the two, taking the board the gal had handed him, nodding slowly at them mumbling a 'mm-hmm.' Edward watched him stalk off, setting the board on the counter and running off to goof off with co-workers. He rolled his eyes, figures. Then he turned to the blond girl who was still standing next to him. He was going to say something else, but instead looked down at the pile of boards and skateboards now swept across the floor. He rubbed the back of his neck, biting his lower lip.
He realized he shouldn't have said what he did. She rose an eyebrow at him, obviously a bit mad. He tried to say something, apologize or something, but she picked up another board and shoved it at his chest. He let out a sigh as she walked off a little ways. Gosh, why was it that everyone here wanted to meet people? Was that all anybody wanted to do these days? Can't just focus on school and life and whatnot? He held the board limply in his arms, standing there for a moment, gathering thoughts together.
Before he knew it, his legs were carrying him towards her. It was weird that he wanted to apologize to her, when lately, all he does is ignore it, gritting his teeth. He bit his bottom lip again, nervously, almost a habit forming, thinking through his next few words to make sure he didn't say anything rude. He didn't like being rude to people, and wasn't fond of people who were rude. Him, he's just a negative person, and that negativeness can get in the way of himself sometimes.
"Hey, I'm sorry, really, I didn't mean to say it like that," he said softly. He smiled lightly, a side of his mouth curving up, eyebrows raised. "Um, I'm Edward, but you can call me Eddie." he stuck out his hand in a polite gesture. His jaw tensed as he clenched his teeth, his mouth still curved into that half smile. It was weird. He hadn't wanted to meet or make friends with anyone in a while. Just wanted to be alone. Maybe it was because she reminded him of someone, or that he was in need of a companion. Maybe he wanted to meet someone too, just like everybody else on this island.

YOU CAN FEEL THE POUNDING WRAPPED AROUND YOUR CHESTADELLEWILLIAMS NOTHING'S TOO EXCESSIVE WHEN YOU'VE GOT NOTHING LEFT Adelle was a little worried when he glared at her, but then he smiled so she smiled back. At least he has a sense of humor. That was always a good quality in someone who was friends with her. And the whole knocking down the WHOLE rack of skateboards just made her day. She always wished she had her camera when she didn't...
She smirked at the employee. She watched as he walked away. You could tell he was pissed he actually had to work. But he just walked over to the other employees and didn't do anything about the skateboards. Wasn't her problem. The boy looked at her, looking embarrassed. She thought that was cute, like a little boy that just smashed his mom's favorite vase.
All his cuteness just washed away as he acted like a jerk to her. She started walking away. The last thing she needed was another person to be a bitch to her. She got enough of that back at home. She would have liked at least one more friend. One is cool, but still... Kinda lonely...
As she was storming out, she heard him talk again. She turned towards him again. It pissed her off she couldn't be mad at that face. He introduced himself as Eddie. She shook his hand. "I'm Adelle. And it's going to take some work getting me to forgive you. I can hold a grudge if I really want to." But she smiled. Maybe she could get a new friend. But this one looks like it needs some work.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - LEAVEMYDOOROPENJUSTACRACK ((T A K E M E A W A Y F R O M H E R E))!!! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Edward watched her begin to storm out. He thought fast—in fact, he didn't think at all. He just kinda went without caring what would or might happen and then spoke to her. Half an apology, half an introduction. A big grin spread across his face when he felt her hand take his, shaking his offered hand.
Adelle. Different, pretty, unique. It kind of reminded him of his sister's name, and even his. Although, his and his sister's were also a bit more of the fancy types of names. "That's a pretty name," he complemented, still smiling at her. Now he bit his bottom lip, his blue eyes focused on her. She explained to him that it was going to take some work for her to forgive him and that she could hold a grudge if she really wanted to. He gazed down for a second, scuffing his foot on the floor. When he glanced back up he smiled and said, "Psh, grudges are a waste of time!" and winked at her.
He was surprised it was this easy to go back to being his normal self after so long. He knew that he probably wasn't fully himself quite yet, but that could take a while. He stuck his hands in his sweatshirt pockets, glancing around the store for a miniscule second, and then looked back to Adelle. "So what's it gonna take to get you to forgive me?" he asked, the thought coming to mind. Then he look around again, seeing the employees standing around talking. "You know, I think I might've passed by an ice cream shop on the way and it all looked pretty good..." he trailed off. Yes, he was tempting to bribe her forgiveness with delicious ice cream. He was even thinking about offering to pay for her.

YOU CAN FEEL THE POUNDING WRAPPED AROUND YOUR CHESTADELLEWILLIAMS NOTHING'S TOO EXCESSIVE WHEN YOU'VE GOT NOTHING LEFT He put on that grin again that mad it impossible for her to be mad at. And it still pissed her off. She couldn't help but smile a little back. He said her name was pretty, which she actually didn't get very often. It mad her smile again. She liked compliments. Well who doesn't, but she didn't get many back home since her friends were pretty much all about themselves. "Thanks." She blushed a little. She blushed extremely easy and it was a real hassle. She sighed. "I guess, I'm not real good at keeping them though..." What a shame though, she could get a lot of things out of people if she could. But Adelle didn't think she could really get truly mad. She was just one of those people that cry it out, she didn't really have temper tantrums.
She was surprised that he wasn't extremely hot in a sweat-shirt. She was warm wearing a t-shirt and shorts. But she was a very warm person. Her mind was kinda zoning out, which it did often and he asked her how he could make it up to her. When he mentioned ice cream, her eyes lit up, she really liked ice cream. Her mom was always about health and stuff so they never really got a lot of sweets. "Ice cream is perfect! I haven't had ice cream in two years..." She laughed. "Wait a second, you're trying to bribe me aren't you?" She pointed her finger at him. Then she shrugged. "Works for me!" She pulled his arm from his pockets. "Come on! Stop standing there like we aren't doing anything extremely important!" She giggled. She loved being this happy.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - LEAVEMYDOOROPENJUSTACRACK ((T A K E M E A W A Y F R O M H E R E))!!! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - He noticed her face turn red a little. He thought it was cute when girls blushed. He never got why though, and maybe it was just because he was guy, who knows. "You're welcome," he replied, grinning slightly. Adelle sighed and then told him she wasn't good at keeping grudges. He raised his eyebrows. "That's a good thing, in my case," he said, winking at her with a devilish grin planted on his face. He realized that she didn't stay mad for very long, and he was thankful for that. He knew he could have quite the temper sometimes, and it wasn't always fun. Although, being mad at the world seemed to have a few advantages, for example, if and when you wanted to be alone, you were left alone.
Her crystal eyes lit up when he mentioned ice cream. At least he picked a good bribe. When she said that she hadn't eaten ice cream in two years, his jaw dropped. "Holy balls, are you serious?" he asked her, eyebrows raised. When he was little, his mom always took him and his sister out for ice cream. How could a kid not have ice cream for two years? He just didn't understand. Before he could accompany her to the ice cream shop, she caught on. "Darn, you got me," he said, jokingly. She was pointing her finger at him and he glanced at it for a second then smiled once she shrugged. She yanked his arm from his sweatshirt pocket and started dragging him out of the store they were in. "Okay, okay, just head that way!" Eddie directed her, pointed to the right, pulling her in that direction.
Her hand was still holding on to his arm. He swallowed and awkwardly slid it out of place, sticking his hand back into his pocket. It wasn't really that he cared much, just that it was weird feeling. He had no idea why, other than maybe because they had just met. Edward cleared his throat. "Um, so this ice cream shop makes its own kind of ice cream and they have a whole crap load of different toppings to pile on... It's pretty cool, and really, really good," he explained to her, looking for the parlor name in bright, bold letters.

YOU CAN FEEL THE POUNDING WRAPPED AROUND YOUR CHESTADELLEWILLIAMS NOTHING'S TOO EXCESSIVE WHEN YOU'VE GOT NOTHING LEFT She rolled her eyes "Perhaps for you. I can't have temper tantrums. Well I can, but they don't last... Needless to say, I don't really get what I want." She smiled softly. Well she could, if she used her sweet power, but he didn't know that... yet. Her parents knew about it, so, of course, they have built up a defense against it. Just ruining all her fun. But that's why she likes making new friends, they don't know a way around Adelle's sweet smile and precious blue eyes. It usually only works with guys though. Girls just think you're hitting on them.
The surprised look on his face made her giggle. "I am DEAD serious. Like I don't even know my favorite flavor..." She couldn't even remember what it tasted like... And that was sad when a kid didn't know what ice cream tasted like. She shrugged. "But I guess it's good. It's pretty fattening."
She headed off to the direction he told her to go. He pulled his arm awkwardly away from her. She didn't want to give him the wrong impression... She was just kind of pulling him. "Well it better be good! I don't want my first ice cream in two years to taste like crap. But you have to tell me what to get because I have no idea what anything tastes like." She giggled again.
