Devon moved over to his closet, pulling the white t-shirt from over his head and then grabbed a blue shirt replacing it on his body as he grabbed a black zip up hoodie and pulled it on as well, zipping it up. He left the jeans he wore, on as he ran a hand through his hair. Devon personally didnt care about his looks, they werent anything, but what was on the outside mattered. His mother would always make sure he was presentable before sending him off to whatever person... or group she had agreed to let have him in exchange for her high. So Devon merely followed routine. The phrase, 'you cant teach and old dog new tricks', might be true in his case... depending on the circumstance.
Devon didnt bother to look in a mirror, he didnt like them anyway, they always showed something he wasnt sure what he was suppose to think of. Devon was bored, he needed something. Hed been talking on the chat, the aaron guy had been on, but he needed something else. Devon wasnt much of a talker and conversation wasnt always the best with him, not that it bothered him but he had heard some good things about the band that would be playing at the underground. He just wanted to go there, lose himself in whatever was offered to him and feel the false heart beat that would be provided if the music was that good.
Devon didnt say goodbye as he had gotten off in fact he kind of forgot that hed been talking to someone that had actually asked him if he wanted company. He briefly forgot the deal they had made as he made his way out of his room. The night air was warm but no matter how warm it was outside devon never seemed to be affected by it, nor would he actually take his sweater off. He knew what was beneath the sweater and well devon wasnt really hiding so much as he was avoiding troubles. He already went through things he rather would have avoided if he had payed more attention to those around him. So now anything that would cause anyone to start becoming aware of Devon in a negative way was covered.
Once he got to the club, he slipped in silently the puse of the music already coursing through the place. He burried his hands into his pocket. To someone touching him they would feel hold cold they were, but that warming them was not on his mind. He felt okay to be honest. He was used to his bodys lower temperature, there was barely anything to him, so it was no surprise that he would be cold even in a club that generated enough eat to melt ice.
It wasnt long before he found a drink in his hand, its contents he was unsure of but he knew it wasnt soda or.. water. He took a sip giving a lingering look to the person smiling at him. Devon knew what was wanted of him without being told and he gave what they wanted. He tilted his head coyly and then hid his eyes behind his lashes before ducking and making his way over to the speakers. He closed his eyes and stood against it. He let himself drift off into the feel of it through his body, in his chest, letting it replace his heartbeat liked hed told peter and aaron on the chat. He couldnt even feel or hear his own heart anymore. Sometimes he wondered if its weak beat was even real or if he was just as empty inside as he felt.

The hunt was on as promised for the moment Devon had seemed to fall silent and there were no responses from him, a playful smirk crossing Aaron's lips as he got up from his computer. A part of him had the feeling that his plans would be forgotten so he was certain to give the other male some time to get ready and go before he headed out himself, subconsciously shifting through his clothing for something decent to wear. Well, it was sort of pointless to change when he thought about it, gazing into the small mirror to observe his clothing which was decent enough for any club he would possibly frequent in order to find the male. Ruffling up his hair a little with a single hand he headed towards the door, shoes all ready being on so there was no worries for wasting time there.
His outfit was quite simple in his eyes, though to others it might seem like he was trying to dress up nice for someone, but his taste of clothing varied day to day. Today it consisted of a pair of black dress pants with a brown-short sleeved cotton shirt tucked into it, a black dress shirt over that and partially buttoned. Around his neck was his typical necklace with a charm attached to it that looked much like a wolf fang, but only he knew it was the real thing and not a fake replica of one. Gently tugging on the sleeves after grabbing his keys Aaron exited the room, locking the door behind him and quickly heading out to look around.
It didn't take him long to find a club that seemed to have music Devon would like, slipping in and carefully moving around in the crowd to try and find the male. Normally Aaron would avoid as much human contact as possible but for some reason he was drawn to Dev, it was a mystery as to why, but if he knew the males past perhaps he would know exactly why. Hazel eyes scanned over the facial features of each person to see if he could spot out the male until something clicked in his mind, resisting the urge to yell at himself for nearly forgetting.
As he expected the male he was looking for was resting against one of the speakers, seeming absorbed by the bass of the music and the sort of artificial heartbeat it gave. Holding back a smile he moved over to stand beside the male, feeling the pulsing that contradicted his own heartbeat to a certain degree, but enjoying the sound of the music instead. Chuckling softly to himself he focused fully on Devon, tilting his head slightly to watch him as he spoke just loud enough to be heard over the music.
"Found you. I suppose your enjoying the pulse of the music?""
And he left it at that, not wanting to disturb Devon too much from something he seemed to be enjoying. After all he did come and 'stalk' the male down as he said he would, but he did respect that it was Dev's original plan to just get out and away from the dread school they were quite possibly forced to attend.

Devon forgot himself as he let himself fall into the beat around him. A few times he felt a body slide against his but when they got no response they would move off. He continued to drink what had been given him, though that didnt last long and it was gone before he realized it. Setting the empty glass down on top of the speaker he had barely let it go before the loud beats had knocked it off the speaker, glass shattering unheard over the music to anyone but devon. Devon didnt move to clean it up though and crunching could be heard when others moved over it.
Devon wasnt really a socialite, but he couldnt really be called a true loner since he did occupy the company of people who requested it. Devon had a mixed up view as to what he was suppose to do in life, to him it was normal and just because everyone else wasnt doing it he just thought it was what he was supposed to do then. Devon didnt have thoughts of his own, he couldnt provide someone with an opinion all his own, Siaga had told him he needed a sense of humor and he needed to learn sarcasm. She said it was the way life worked. Devon had lived this long doing as he was told, humor was lost on him and he couldnt even remember a time when he had laughed.. if he ever had. Saiga had told him to go dance naked to living la vida loca on the balcony ... Devon was going to do it but apparently it had been a joke. He didnt really get it.
He heard a voice close to him and he opened his dark eyes looking at the boy that had spoken to him. He raised his brow briefly before realizing just what he had meant. This was Aaron. Devin ducked his head just a bit and then looked up aaron through his lashes. Sometimes Devon didnt need to be told. Sometimes things were a routine to him, things that were constant, that were expected nearly everytime... they just came naturally to him that sometimes he didnt even realize he was doing it. He stepped forward and leaned in so he could say into his ear, his voice almost a low and raspy in a flirtatious way. So you have. he swayed ever so slightly his hand coming up to rest against Aarons chest as if to use it for balance. "What do you want as your prize?' he leaned back and quirked his brow.
The song changed to another... more louder but with more of a tune to it and Devon bit his lip just right as he started to sway his hips, raising his arms up above his head. He stayed like that for a few moments before opening his eyes, training them on aaron. Devon moved the short distance that separated them, so close his hips would brush against his slightly when he moved them. "dance with me?' he asked.

While waiting for a response Aaron shifted somewhat nervously, his hazel eyes watching the crowd close to them as if expecting someone to jump out and attack them. He typically didn't frequent any clubs with this large of a crowd because of his paranoia of people, and having a few accidentally (or intentionally) brush past him just caused him to tense up. A part of him just wanted to get out of there, but he convinced himself to stay just so he could talk to Devon, an abnormal thing for someone anti-social like himself. Now he was regretting that he didn't try to slip a drink in to help him loosen up some, perhaps be more social or able to tolerate the crowd, but it was a little too late now to slip away since he didn't want to leave the other male alone.
Having of zoned out briefly he didn't notice Devon moving closer to him until the male had spoken, nearly jumping in shock as his attention quickly focused on the male who was suddenly close, his heart which was already racing just getting a tad bit faster out of nervousness. When the words were whispered in his ear a curious look entered his eyes, watching Dev with a curious look as he swayed and soon seemed to use him as a sort of balance. The next words took him off-guard, his mind halting as he tried to figure out what to say. Honestly he didn't want a prize, he just wanted to spend some time with the mysterious male whom had instantly caught his interest.
"I didn't really expect a prize besides having your company, honestly."
Clearing his throat lightly he resisted tensing up as Dev moved closer, biting the inside of his lip with uncertainty of what to do or how to react. This was definitely something that the male was not expecting to happen while he was here, being so close to another male that he actually thought was pretty good looking and had an odd interest in. Unconsciously moving back a little bit to have more distance between them his hazel eyes locked onto Devon's face, looking for some kind of emotion in it.
"I... don't know how to dance Dev. So... unless you want to teach me I can't quite take up that offer. Either that or I'd need to get a good amount of alcohol in my system..."
Well, at least he was being honest about everything right now and not just trying to get away as he normally would in this situation. Instead of being repelled by the way Dev was acting he was actually drawn in, curious about everything the male could possibly offer. Of course he wasn't looking for anything more than a friendship out of him, but he did find that Devon was different than most.

To Devon everyone was the same. Everyone wanted the same thing from him, because thats all he ever knew. Anyone that ever looked at him, ever talked to him, ever asked anything of him he thought all wanted the same thing of him in the end. Devon never wanted anything. The only thing he craved was something he never seemed to get. His body was littered with scars from not only himself but others and not one of them had brought him anything. It was like a cut or a burn brought a very slight pain to him but it was never enough.
Even Aarons words didnt seem to surprise him. He was probably one of the more coy ones. He probably wanted Devon to role play with him. Act as if he were the one coming on to him. Devon could do anything that Aaron wanted. My company?' he gave Aaron a coy smile, it wasnt full but it was enough to show he would play along with whatever he needed. Well where do you want my company?" he asked. Devon would go anywhere Aaron wanted to take this. He would even stay there. He was no stranger to public shows because people did get a weird pleasure from being watched.
He wondered if Aaron was going to give him anything. A lot of the people hed been with liked to make him take things. Liked to see what it did to him, for some reason it made them feel like they had the power. When Aaron stepped back, Devon followed giving a small shrug as he claimed he couldnt dance, or rather that he didnt know how to dance. Devon didnt like it when people asked him what he wanted, well it wasnt that he didnt like it, it was just that he didnt understand it. It wasnt about what Devon wanted. Peter was always asking him what he wanted and he just didnt seem to understand that Devon didnt want. Never wanted, theres no room for want when other people were around. He hoped Aaron knew how to better direct questions.. or rather needs to him.
"Do you want?' he asked his having brought his hands up to grip his shirt, stopping him from moving back again. He was already too far from the speakers then he liked. He stepped back hoping to bring Aaron back with him.
Devons hands let go of Aarons shirt, his palms flat on his chest again and he slid them down til they were on Aarons waist as he stepped close again, holding him there and then he put a little pressure where his hands rested to get him to move his hips like he was, to the beat of the music. Is this what you want?' he asked.

As the moments passed realization began to dawn on Aaron of how Devon really was and why he was so... different. The male was the type that was quite possibly trained as a child to please others, either that or he merely was taught to listen to others and follow along with their lead. Now it was official to him that he had to try and change the males perspective of what he 'wanted' because it started to seem like there was a huge miscommunication between the two of them.
Before he got the chance to speak up Devon had gripped his shirt and seemed to be trying to bring him back towards the speaker, his body naturally tensing up as he held his place rather firmly and refused to move. Then the typically question was asked before the grip turned into a touch, then slowly moved to his hips to try and move them along to 'dance'. At this point Aaron knew he had to react, lightly grabbing Devon's wrists to pull them away from his hips, a heavy sigh escaping his lips.
"By company I meant just hanging out, Dev. I don't want anything more than that from you..."
Clearing his mind quickly of his paranoias his hazel eyes focused on the male, trying to find a way to get what he was expecting out of his head and into a proper sentence that might be easy to comprehend. How the hell was he going to explain everything to him without stumbling over his word or possibly not making any sense? Either way it was worth just putting everything on the table so it was not bothering him in any form or shape.
"Dance if you want, I... just am not a dancer. I'm a singer and a music writer, a listener even. I'm... content with that really, part of the reason I came to find you was just to listen to whatever music and try to feel what you feel."
Hopefully that made plenty of sense as he hoped, after all it was the jist of everything that he got out for, but not the very detailed explanation of it.

Devon thought he was doing okay, he thought he was doing what Aaron wanted, but then aarong was gripping his wrists taking them from his waist and telling him he just wanted to hang out with him, and then wanted nothing more. He gave him a slightly perplexed look, unsure if maybe this was part of the game or if he was being serious. Ever since coming here, ever since hed been taking from the only place he called home no one has wanted anything to do with him. well okay no one would be taking it lightly. He was rather attractive and he was always asking people what they wanted him to do for them. Not everyone turned him away, but enough people did that Devon was starting to think that something was wrong with him. It didnt make him feel bad, it was just that if something was wrong with him he needed to change it so people wouldnt push him away. Devon just couldnt have people push him away like that.
Devon was suppose to do things, was suppose to satisfy people on any level they wanted. What else did he have what purpose if everyone turned him down. Not only that but he would be no where nearer to finding out something that would help him feel anything. Someone would come along with a harder hit, a more reckless fuck that he would finally feel something, he just knew something was there somewhere. He never even though that it didnt always have to be about pain. Not even when Pete had mentioned that on the chat.
Devon looked up at him with a blank look as he talked to him. He tilted his head some and then looked down, his eyes on Aarons chest. Its club music.' he said. He stepped back from Aaron pulling his arms free. you want to feel what I feel?" he asked. "How do you feel now?' he asked glancing over his shoulder at his speaker. He looked back over at Aaron and then took a step back a few more and he would be at the speaker, but what if Aaaron didnt want that. What if Aaron wanted to leave? He didnt know. So instead of moving back anymore, Devon stayed where he was, waiting for some kind of direction from the other male.

A silent sigh of relief escaped Aaron's lip as Devon backed off, happy that the other male seemed to generally get the idea he wanted to get across. Of course the next problem was trying to get him fully on the same page, but he didn't expect that to happen immediately, deciding to purely use his instincts for the time he was here. It was hard to ignore the paranoia, but he managed to do so by focusing on his goal here and the music that seemed to begin to envelop him as time went on. It was as if a protective barrier was formed around him to prevent other people from getting in, or at least until he allowed them in. Only if that was realistically possible, but the male wasn't going to keep his hopes up about it ever happening or even being possible.
As Devon pulled away his attention quickly returned to him, listening intently to the words he spoke before chuckling softly. Well, it was obvious it was club music to him, but not quite the music he was used to hearing back at home. They had rap, hip-hop, techno, trance and dance music blasting with the bass turned up to extremes, causing him to shy away without a thought since he wasn't fond of half of those genres. But the music coming through the speakers now was pretty easy to fall into, to hear each individual note and the potential meaning behind it... if there was any even. In this case it seemed like the bass and drums had a strong beat to it, but the guitar seemed to be the only one that had meaning in the way it sounded.
Without a second though he moved over to stand next to the speaker, gently leaning against it to feel the pulse it provided, though it contradicted his own heartbeat at the time. It was odd at first until he drowned out his own feelings to feel what the music provided, closing his hazel eyes for a few moments to absorb it and try to understand where Devon was coming from. It was hard at first, but once he felt like he had a general understanding he opened a single eye, a small smile crossing his lips.
"It's... interesting. I think I can see what you mean if I ignore everything my body is saying or my own heartbeat, but if I listen to it instead it is... contradicting almost." Pausing for a moment he opened his other eye, watching Devon closely. "Is the pulse it gives you what you feel, or is it something else that I am missing? Does it give you any... meaning?"
Yes, he was testing Devon a little bit, trying to see if he could get him to talk about what he might feel or might want. Peter and him were quite alike on that level if one thought about it, they both wanted to help Devon see beyond the past that seemed to mold him and find a path that he would, one day, be able to feel or something.

Devon watched as Aaron moved over to the speaker. He didnt even hesitate to follow him. Devon stood close but not super close. There were four speakers, two on either side and Aaron stood against one. Devon looked at the free speaker then back over to aaron. He could still feel the heavy drum beats reverberating against his body. He wanted to go back to what hed been doing, he wanted to focus on the music. He wanted....
He wouldnt though. He would wait until Aaron gave him direction. Till aaron was done with him. He stood there as Aaron seemed to take time to ... feel the music. Devon didnt understand what he was doing. He was kind of slow in a sense, his lack of schooling and general abuse whether it was physical or substance abuse to the extreme, not entirely from himself, had already damaged his brain. He was lucky he hadnt been born with some extreme problems because of his mothers complete lack in care to her pregnant body. All she had ever cared about was selling her body for drugs.
Aarons voice brought Devon back to him and he silently chastised himself for starting to zone out. He listened to his words, never once did something show in Devons eyes. Really even Zombies showed more in their eyes then Devon did. The way Aaron spoke, how he said it ... the words he used just seemed hard for him to comprehend. He blinked and then slowly just nodded thinking that was what Aaron wanted. That he wanted him to agree with him. It was one thing to talk to someone over the internet and to maybe disagree, though devon rarely did, then it was to be face to face with someone.
There was no... walls and doors separating them. If Devon disagreed and pissed aaron off then all he would have to do is reach out and slap him or hit him or.. whatever he desired to do to put Devon back in his place. Devon wouldnt move either. Devon would take it and step down. He knew when he would cross a line. You could always see the way anger seeped into a persons eyes. A twitch maybe... there was always some kind of tell and that would be the only thing to give Devon a warning. That is if he was looking close enough. Sometimes it was easy as pie, some people were very bad ad hiding or being subtle about their feelings. Devon preferred neither because it was always the same in the end.
Again Devon was brought back to Aaron and his lips thinned because he was having a hard time focusing on Aaron. IT wasnt aaron either, it was never the person. Devon just sometimes couldnt focus especially when he wanted to focus on the music.. on the beats. IT was never about the music really just how heavy the beats were and how it felt to him. Aaron was asking him a question... two questions. Devon licked his lips a bit and shrugged. "Meaning?' he asked, not sure what he was asking in the first question really. "Nothing means anything...' he titled his head his eyes going up to Aarons. "Unless you want that. If you want it to then yes it has meaning. Do you want it to?' he asked.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -MEND THE BROKEN HOMES CARE FOR THEMTHEY ARE OUR BROTHERS SAVE THE FADING LIGHT IN OUR SOULS - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - A light sight escaped his lips, eyeing Devon as if trying to read him, although it was as if he was hitting a block that just reflected his own wants. It was very confusing, mysterious even, though why it was that way was a complete mystery the more and more he thought on it. Why did Devon seem like he was just a vessel of what others wanted and needed to feel, not a vessel of his own? It was as if his own life was plucked out him to be molded according to whomever had his interest at the time, but why? Aaron's mind kept trying to figure it out, biting his bottom lip out of habit, immune to the sounds around him.
At least it was that way until Devon had spoken, replying to his questions in different ways then he was hoping for, leaving his ponderings with more questions. Perhaps it was time to go about things a different route, to see if he could solve this mystery through different questions, or perhaps even 'demands' as his mind saw it. If the male infront of him would do anything he wanted, why not try to get his answers that way? He felt bad trying to force things out of him though, to ask him things that he might not understand because of his past, but maybe it would help both of them in the end.
"There is meaning to everything, despite how minor it may be, but sometimes you need to search for it. Other times it hits you while your not paying attention, zoned out or focused into a feeling or just an experience you may be having. Each person has their own perspective on different things, on how the world is and the way things are meant to be in the end..."
Trailing off for a moment he took a deep breath, sorting out his thoughts carefully for his next 'test'. There was always an answer to every mystery, just like each chemical reacts to another one, but the results could either cause a new solution or explode, resulting in finding a new combination that would work well. Even though this wasn't quite chemistry, it related to life to a certain degree, certain things you say can either be good or explode in your face, all dependant on the situation and all the factor involved in the process.
"Pretend I'm not here, go back to what you were doing before... try to find a meaning or a feeling in what your doing. I know there has to be something, even if it's as simple as giving you a sort of artificial heartbeat or even get your heart pumping more. If you need me to walk away so you can do that for a few minutes, let me know."
Now it was just a matter of time to see if it worked, staying leaning gently against his speaker, but taking his gaze off of Devon to focus on the crowd. It was odd how calm he was at the moment when he thought about it, normally he'd just want to run out of the place into the open air, his social anxiety getting the best of him. Yet here he was, still standing inside with Devon, trying to help him see something he is missing and even befriend him, something that was out of character to a certain degree. Odd, but he merely accepted it for now.
