Touch football... hm. Peter had never played touch football, well, he'd really never played regular football. His father had pressured him at one point to play football, but it just wouldn't work. Peter wasn't even big enough to make the try outs. Besides, Peter knew his father just wanted to have an excuse for the bruises that he could use if someone ever caught on. That wasn't something Peter was into. Getting beat up at school, then beat up at home didn't seem like a fair trade. But Landon made touch football sound interesting. Maybe the two of them could be a little quieter than the other guys that were playing in the hall. Peter was pretty sure that with the way Landon spoke online he'd never want to be on the receiving end of the boy's anger. Peter closed his laptop, wondering if he should probably give Landon some time before he went over there.
Peter did what he always did when he was giving people time and he took a shower. He wanted to smell amazing. It was a little obsession of Peter's. He used Old Spice body wash and after that the smell was so absorbed into him that he only really had to use a deodorant afterward. Peter didn't use cologne. That stuff usually stank anyway or was way too strong and would give him headaches. After getting fully dressed, Peter decided that he was ready and whether Landon was or not he was coming. He moved toward his bed, looking down at his sleeping dog with a smile. It was pretty late and Peter didn't want to wake Bogart to tell him bye. Poor Bogart would never go back to sleep. So Peter leaned down, kissing Bogart on the head gently so as not to wake him and moved toward the door.
Opening the door to his room, Peter made sure to lock it. From his pocket, Peter pulled a pack of animal crackers. He opened the ziplock and fished out a cheetah. He looked at it, wondering if it really was a cheetah or if it was something else and that was just what he was calling it. He then shrugged, popping the cracker animal into his mouth. Peter closed the bag, but put them in his jacket pocket instead of his pants pocket this time so they didn't get squished. Peter finally found the room that Landon had said was his. He knocked on the door then moved to the far wall and leaned against it, waiting on Landon to open the door. Maybe this would be fun. Peter obviously liked meeting new people and Landon had seemed nice enough to him.
Peter sometimes took to people way too easily and as much as he tried to stop it... there was just no way. So when Landon had offered for him to come over for a friendly game of touch football... how could Peter refuse? He wanted to get to know Landon, maybe be friends or something. That would be nice. Pete knew that he could always use more friends.
