School had just stated and people were just started to get settled in. There were boxed every where, trash cans over flowing, with who knows what. People walking here and there with maps held tight in hand. Classes had already started, and with that so have the clicks. People walked close together in the hall's not wanting to be that 'loser' with no friends. Accepted for one. Her name. Charlotte. She did not mind being alone, she did not mind sticking out, she did not mind walking alone. She did not lean on anyone, she stood by herself, with out friends to lean on. She has yet to make a friend at her new school, but she did not mind. She just missed home. She missed her friend's, she missed her fight's she missed everything, she even missed her overbearing mother. Charlotte had made her way to her locker, she already knew where is was with out fail. She put the books she would not need, and exchanged them for the ones she would need. The day was over, so she could go back and finish rearranging her dorm room. With a small sigh she closed her locker with a small slam. The lock locked and her bag swung over her left shoulder.
She pushed the open the main door's walking out into the court yard. It was a nice enough day. She looked around for a moment, not too many people were out side today. Maybe that was becasue it was Friday, people had to get ready for the weekend, get ready to party. Who knew. Charlotte was not into the drinking to get drunk, though she did like to dance. But that's besides the point. Charlotte just walked to the courtyard, and found a nice shady tree to sit under. Hopefully she could relax with out screaming girl's, and giggles. Friends being made, was rather annoying. Girls running from room to room, trying to pick out the perfect thing to wear. Yeah no, it was so not for Charlotte. Yeah she would love to go out and party, but she could never do it alone.
She sat there her books next to her. Just sitting under the shade of the tree. It was quiet, which was nice. Most again off getting ready, but there were a few who wanted to relax outside, before the party starts. Charlotte looked to her watch for a second before reaching into her bag, looking for her I-phone. God she loved the thing. Once she found it she picked out the phone and took out the head phones as well. Plugging it in and the music started. With all sound cut off besides her music. From there a book appeared in her hand's. The book fell open and she began to read. Maybe she would get a few chapters in before going off to her room, to party like most the others.

Ah sweet sweet air. Nice ... fresh... amazing air. He grinned holding his arms open wide as he closed his eyes and took in deep breaths. God was it beautiful. He dropped his arms back to his side and then looked around, kids filtering out randomly probably on their way to do something before everything was going to get started. Kholden had heard about a few parties though he was scoping out to see which were best. Of course since this place barely had any kind of supervision other then the teaches and what not, kids were seizing the time to throw parties and do what hey want. Granted there was a large handful that was still very, anti being here. Really he didnt see what was so wrong with being here.
Kholden was glad to be away from everything. he liked this little island it was beautiful and hello the scenery was amazing for his camera. God he already had a fuck ton of pictures just on the grounds itself. The water... gorgeous. God he needed to learn to surf. That would be amazing. The temperatures were nice. Seriously he just didnt get why people didnt like it here. He was embracing this place. Granted he hadnt picked it, in fact hed never heard of it, but of all things for his mom and sean to do this was probably the best yet.
He made his down into the courtyard. Checking out everyone that was hanging around. not many most people were heading out with destinations in mind. He would... soon, but right now he was relaxing. Stretching his ass and legs out since he had to sit in those stupid desks for so long while teachers dragged on about shit he didnt care nor need to know. He was usually really good at retaining information so it worked. His attention was brought to a gorgeous blond reading a book. He quirked his brow up, trying to see what it was but then gave up and strolled over.
He'd never seen her before or else he would have met her already. Taking a seat next to her he grinned. Whatcha reading?' he asked, taking in her perfectly shaped eyebrows and lovely long blond hair. Her eyes were catching. You one of the newer ones?' he figured it was an obvious question but maybe he just missed her all this time. 'I dont remember seeing you before.'

She could feel someone sit upon the bench next to her. Which was fine, she did not mind that so much, it was a free island, people could sit where they wanted. People could do as they wished too, as long as Charlotte was not involved. But the man next to her spoke, and Charlotte was not about to be rude, so she put on her best smile, and looked his way. "A book." She answered in the same tone. She was of course kidding, sarcasm, she loved it. "No kidding." Charlotte said with a small laugh as she let the book close (her finger protecting her page) She let the cover of the book show, the title, The Time Traveler's Wife.
"I don't think I would call me self new." Charlotte said. Apparently he was not going to go away anytime soon, so she might as well embrace it, and talk to the nice boy... man..whatever he is. So she lifted her bookmark from the back of the book, and slipped it under her finger, which kept her page. "I've been here for a few days." Charlotte said joking again. "Okay so I'm new you caught me." Charlotte added slipping her book into her book back. "Are you the welcoming crew? Or just looking for a chick to bang?" Charlotte asked a small smirk on her face. She knew how teenage male's though, and let's face it she was cute. She knew it. There's only so many times you can get hit on before you figure it out. "Either way, I'm Charlotte" She added holding out her hand to shake his. She was feeling kinda feisty today. Which may or may no be a bad thing. She was a little out of character today. Usually she is a lot nicer, sweet even. But today... she was felling kind of bitter. She was just missing home, missing her friends, and her ring. She wanted to fight, she wanted to knock a chick out, she wanted to duke it out, she wanted a punching bag. But she had no access to any of that here. So it made her bitter... and if she can't get all her pent up anger out, but beating the living day lights outta someone, she had to find another way to relive it. And apparently that was was sarcasm.

At her reply kholden snorted a bit and was about to reply with his own sarcastic remark but she beat him to it, claming she was kidding and then turned the book enough to show him the cover. Ah... i see. Any good/" he asked, though she was reading it, it must be. Then again maybe she was just still reading it hoping for it to get better as she went even if it wasnt. Some people were like that. He had done that on a book or two especially when you already wasted part of your time reading a few chapters. You can only hope that it could redeem its self.
His brows went up when she said she wasnt really knew but then after she realized shed only been there a few days decided that yeah maybe she was knew. Her next comments made him laugh and he gave a small shrug. "maybe both, though if you prefer I could just be the welcoming committee.' he gave a small shrug. "naw just saw you here, thought Id say hi. You gonna be heading to one of the parties their throwing tonight?" he asked her leaning back a bit on the bench his arms stretching out over the tops of the back of it. Oh have you had a tour of the place yet?" he says as an afterthought. "im an awsome tour guide' he offered and grinned at her. He had a very friendly grin and a calm aura. It was hard to feel uncomfortable around him, he just had that easy charisma and that lazy grin with the half lidded eyes.
Ah, nice name.he said. Im Kholden' he answerd. Named after anything or one in particular?" he asked. as he shook her hand. Kholden was always the type to give people a chance before he passed judgement on them, or rather his opinion. So far she hadnt gained any kind of opinion from him yet. First meetings were always the worst in Kholdens opinion. You could never realy gauge what a person was really like upon a first meeting. Everyone was always different regardless of what they said. Kholden wasnt sure if he was different but considering he felt that way about everyone maybe he really was different. Either way he was definitely a person that gave people the benefit of the doubt unless they really made a makr against themselves.

"Yeah it's an alright book. Though it's more of a chick book... I dunno if you would like it.." She said looking him over for a second. Well maybe he would like it, she did not know him like that. But that really was no something she needed to know, or cared to know for that matter. "I'll tell you want, honey, play your cards right now and we'll talk about it later." Charlotte said, as he crossed her legs. He was not getting close to that, not yet. She never did the whole one night stand thing. It was not her cup of tea so to say. She wanted to at least know a little about the guy before she jumped into bed with him. So if he proved himself, maybe he would get her number, maybe he would get a little something, but you better believe she would do a lot of teasing and turning on before she even though about lying in bed. She was more talk then anything, when it came to sex. She would tease the hell outta you, and then walk away right before the act it's self. That's just who she was, kept them wanting more. She shook her head a little. "I'm not into that too much.... I would rather not have puke on my shoes... but we'll see, I might go if I have someone to go with." She said giving him a sly smile. She might go to a party, she was not so sure yet. She might check one or two out, maybe stay for a hour or two, before going to the next. she just did not know anyone well enough yet to know where the party were exactly. And it was not like her to go at things alone. Once she got a feel for the place, she would be more then happy to go out alone, but for now, she need someone to cling to.
"Tour guide...." She said one of her eye brows raised slightly. "Well I had a tour guide appointed from the school, but I'm sure they missed a few things... " She said thinking it over. "I'm up for a tour." She said with a whatever kind of attitude. Better then sit here and reading a darn book. So a tour they would go. At least he would know all the 'cool' tables and crap. He would tell her things she needed to know. "That's a good question.... one for my" Charlotte rolled her eyes a bit" Parents for that one." She said with a sigh. God she hated them. But that was a different story. "You got a story behind your name?" She asked, being nice really. She did not care all too much, but she would listen if he had something to say. She looked next to her to make sure everything was safe in her bag, which she slung over her shoulder, as if to say she was ready for that tour when he was. Look's like everything was ready to go.
