Kholden shut his computer off, disconnecting his camera then grabbed his pocket one. Kholden was rarely ever without a camera, the guy had one near his pillow even. He has a few different cameras, one for any situation really or whatever kind he might be feeling at the moment. He has just always liked taking pictures it probably mostly stems from his dad telling him he should enjoy every minute, not just let it pass by. Kholden took it one step father and not only is enjoying it but is capturing it.
There was a myth he heard once, or maybe it was something his dad had told him... or maybe just something he had come up with in his head. A picture holds the moment you have taken. Its frozen in time there for you to go back to and enjoy. Rip that picture and you release all that has been captured in it. This can have many affects. Either it can help you forget, it can help you move on, it can help give you the feeling you had back then... or.. well pretty much whatever you need it to do, if thats what you need. Now that he thought about it, it wasnt a myth at all... and... kind of stupid, but it was still something. People dont really look at pictures the same way.
Kholden may always have a camera glued to him, but he definitely isnt the type that lets life pass him by while hes stuck being them. No he always makes sure hes participating as well.
Kholden stood up and stretched. "Dun dun dun DUNNNNN!' he grinned and then stopped looking in his full length mirror. "Okay.. hair.. not bad, shirt... good... pants... good... shoes... good. You are good to go...' he told his reflection as he headed to his door and then out. Kholden wasnt really conceited or vain. he was Confident in a joking way. He always talked big about himself but he did it in just a joking way that it wasnt douchebaggy. Tonight he looked pretty good though, wearing a black t-shirt and jeans topped with his flip flops. He didnt care what weather it was he usually always wore them if not those then he was wearing shoes, but it was a rare occasion.
He tapped a beat out on his thigh as he headed down the hall towards the door and through to the courtyard. He wasnt sure how long City would take, but she was a chick... probably longer then she had said. Kayla said she was ready so either she would be there right away or already there. It was dark as he stepped outside. He liked the night time it was quite calming really. Finding a spot under one of the lights outside he leaned against the post, arms crossed as he waited.
**Sorry took so long and its kind of really crappy but i fail at starter posts so.. XD**

--------------------------------------Catch you playing with matches But I'm the one who gets burned --------------------------------------stood up from the desk, not bothering to turn off the computer. There was probably a valid reason that she should turn her computer off, but she didn't know it, and therefore, didn't really care. Already dressed in jeans and a t-shirt, she grabbed her purse and headed for the door. Purses weren't really her thing, they were annoying to have to carry around and always keep track of. But her jean pockets wouldn't fit her phone, her wallet, pepper spray, and her pocket knife. She probably should have changed into something a little nicer, but, she'd told Kholden she was already ready, so he'd be expecting her there pretty soon.
It was odd, Kayla agreeing to go clubbing with a couple random people she'd met over the internet. Although, it wasn't that bad, really, they both went to her school... as far as she knew. There was a thread of doubt there in her mind. Maybe one of them was some sort of cereal killer, or cereal rapist. The latter was worse, in Kayla's opinion. Once you're dead, you're dead. There's no coming back to life, there's no more pain or torture, and your killer can't murder you again. Rape, on the other hand, had repercussions. The memory of such violation would be there forever, not to mention the depression and years of therapy to follow.
Which is why she took pepper spray and the small knife everywhere, especially when going out with people she didn't know. She never knew what kind of person they were, if they were psychopaths. Not very likely, but... Well, she wasn't taking any chances. Kholden and Felicity might be the nicest people in the world, and when she got to know them better, she'd leave the knife at home. But the pepper spray went with her everywhere. Better to be safe than sorry. Besides, keys could always substitute for the knife. Not as effective, but were better than nothing.
Oh, keys. Right. Didn't want to be locked out of the apartment... dorm... whatever it was called. That would really, really suck. Kayla grabbed her keys from from the top of her dresser and walked out the door, locking it behind her, both the regular lock and the deadbolt. Once she was sure the door was securely locked, she walked through the hall and out to the courtyard. A guy was already standing there, from the picture online it looked like Kholden. "Hey." Shutting her laptop closed lightly, Felicity scanned her room, trying to figure out what to do next. She was having a blond moment, no offense to any blonds who may somehow be able to read her thoughts. Biting her lip, she brushed her hand through her hair and got to her feet, gazing down at her clothes. She was wearing some gal boxers and a t-shirt. Oh, and don’t forget the bunny slippers on her feet, or the sloppy bun her hair was in. When she said she just needed to get ready, she meant she had to take a shower, find something to wear, and do her hair. That may take longer than nessesary, and she hoped they wouldn’t be angry. Rushing into the bathroom, she stripped and hopped into the shower, taking a calm and soothing shower before hopping back out and wrapping herself in a towel. Taking a deep breath, she went back into her bedroom and shuffled through her clothes. In the end she decided upon a wavy black skirt and a red halter. Slipping them on, she went back into the bathroom and hung up her towel. She didn’t have long to go. She decided upon blow drying her hair and leaving it down. It had gotten rather long, a bit past her shoulders, and she wondered if she ought to get it cut. She wasn’t sure. For a moment she lost her train of thought, before jumping back on task.
Felicity was about to leave the room when something occurred to her. She could still taste the bowl of cereal, the bagel, the muffin, and the cup of orange juice in her mouth, and she hesitated. She’d purged, and probably gained a bazillion pounds by doing so. She didn’t give herself time to think before she was entering the bathroom again and leaning over the toilet. Taking a deep breath, she brought her finger to her mouth, reaching in and poking her gag reflect. It burned as she emptied her guts into the toilet. She fought back tears as she puked, taking a moment to catch her breath before getting to her feet and brushing her teeth to get the stale taste of vomit out of her mouth. It tasted nasty, but she felt reassured that she was able to get rid of all that food.
Slipping a stick of gum into her mouth, Felicity chewed the minty treat for extra measure as she sought out her black purse and left the room. The last thing she needed that day was bad breath. She almost forgot where they were supposed to meet, but then she remembered that they had planned to meet up in the courtyard. She also remembered that she was very late. Biting her lip, she began to run, which was difficult in her black ballet flats. But she managed to fly out the doors of the school, her hair flying out behind her as she did so. Panting, she rushed toward the two people that she automatically assumed were Kholden and Kayla. Chest heaving, she cried, ”Je m’excuse! Je m’excuse!”
She knew they may not know what she was saying, apologizing repeatedly in French, but it didn’t really occur to her at the time. She proceeded to give a full explanation, or lie, as to why she was late, in rapid French. After a moment, she finally caught herself and spoke in English, ”Sorry, sorry. I constantly forget I’m not in France anymore. I’m so sorry I’m late! I lost track of time! I’m so sorry!” [/blockquote][/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Kholden looked up into the darkened sky, the sliver of a moon getting higher and offering no light. Kholden usually liked full moons especially in winter because the glow it provided cast out over the grounds and bounced off the white of the snow illuminating things. Made night time less creepy, not that Kholden really thought it was, but to a lot of people it was. Kholden pulled his camera out turning the flash on and then turned it towards himself giving the camera a thumbs up as he took a picture. So.. he was bored. He was still waiting for someone to come out.
He was just winding it back when someone came out through the doors. He glanced over, but he couldnt really make out their face till they got closer and the light from the lamp post gave a bit more to them. He grinned. Hey there... he studied her a moment. Kayla right?" he asked. She looked like her picture... besides she had the lighter hair. He lifted the camera. Surprise shot. he said just as he took the picture. He wasnt sure how she would take that... offended or ... not care. He hoped she didnt care he hated when people got pissed over something like that. Dont worry Ill give you all rights. he said with another grin.
Winding it back up he looked over at her. "So.. Im Kholden.' he told her not that he had to, since he was the only guy they'd be hanging with and really but he thought official greetings would be good. You look nice. Kholden added. Kholden didnt feel awkward at all. He even exuded a calmness about him that usually relaxed people that were around him. Normal people would probably feel a bit weird for meeting people they'd never met before and then hanging out, worrying how the other person would take them if they would be boring or not, but Kholden really didnt. He just grinned at her and the way he talked almost made it sound as if theyd known each other for ever already. "So theres this band thats going to be there, should be pretty wicked. I havent heard them yet, but last week they played a bit of a demo the group gave. I am pretty sure they wont have a problem getting some kind of record deal soon if they keep up.' he nodded.
Kholden really wasnt in too much of a hurry. He wasnt thinking too much of how long Felicity was taking, though he didnt know if Kayla was. Granted standing around wasnt the greatest thing in the world, but he'd expected as much from a girl. Some girls just really took forever to get ready, but hey most of the time it was well worth it in the end. Finally the doors opened again and down came another very petite girl spouting apologies off in french. Most definitely Felicity. "hey... hey.. city. no sweat.. really.' he shrugged and lifted the camera again and took a picture of felicity this time. "We're still here. If we were gone then you'd definitely have to worry.' he nodded. "well shall we ladies?" he asked and then offered his arm to them both, giving them both one of his best faces usually the one people couldnt turn down, though if they didnt take the offer he wouldnt be too heart broken. Not everyone was so easy to take to strangers as Kholden was.
